GLA WIN Design Labs

The Workforce Integration Network (WIN) was established in 2018 as part of the Mayor’s Strategy for Social Integration to improve pathways for underrepresented groups in the workplace. The WIN programme is currently focused on supporting young black men aged 16 to 24 years into significant and substantial employment in London.

WIN’s Design Lab is a year-long programme of free, flexible and innovative support focused on catalysing sustainable change for building inclusive workforces, primarily focused on London’s construction and infrastructure ecosystem. The Design Labs will be an opportunity for companies to identify significant challenges and work collaboratively and independently to test and implementing solutions to these priority challenges. The Design Labs will provide a community of practice to learn collectively and evaluate effective approaches.

We are seeking expressions of interest from organisations that wish to participate in the Design Labs between January and December 2021. Companies will be selected based on their ability to:

1. Meet the basic commitments of the programme

2. Demonstrate support of the underpinning approaches of the Lab

3. Potential to make impact during the year and wider contributions to sector change

4. Desire to step up as an industry champion at the end of the year

All expressions of interest will be considered by The Equal Group and GLA teams, with confirmation of the final Design Lab cohort being confirmed shortly following the close of the expression of interest process.
